The president who got 3 Million less votes than his opponent but is president never the less is backing a would be president in Venezuela who has proclaimed himself president while 80% of the people there have never even heard of the guy... but it is all about democracy? ...it's a fucking joke. All of the citizens of Venezuela own the oil. The United States is the reason behind all of the economic problems in Venezuela. The US is maliciously causing the whole thing. The United States is a totally immoral pack of murderers and thieves that are on the verge of stealing yet another country away from its people. I wonder how many people they will slaughter this time. They have killed 2 Million people in the Middle East in the last 17 years. Maybe 1% or 2% of them were military. Women and children make up close to two thirds of those 2 Million slaughtered people. Evil murderers and thieves.

The climate emergency with Dahr Jamail
The glaciers in Alaska alone are losing an estimated 75 billion tons of ice every year. The oceans, which absorb over 90 percent of the excess heat trapped by greenhouses gases in the atmosphere, are warming and acidifying, melting the polar ice caps and resulting in rising sea-levels and oxygen-starved ocean dead zones. We await a 50-gigaton burp, or "pulse," of methane from thawing Arctic permafrost beneath the East Siberian Arctic Shelf, which will release the
equivalent of around two-thirds of the total carbon dioxide pumped into the atmosphere since the beginning of the industrial era. Some 150 to 200 species of plants, insects, birds and mammals are becoming extinct every 24 hours – one thousand times the "natural" or "background" rate. This pace of extinction is greater than anything the world has experienced since the disappearance of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. Chris Hedges speaks to journalist and author, Dahr Jamail, about his new book 'The End of Ice: Bearing Witness and Finding Meaning in the Path of Climate Disruption,' which looks at the climate emergency.

The Prison Industry in the United States: Big Business or a New Form of Slavery?
It's Both! Prisoners are put to work for corporations without pay. The business pays the prison for the labor so the prison profits from it. The prisoners get nothing... except they may get some benefits around the prison that relate to food and housing. If they are going to put them to work, they should be saving at least half of their paycheck for them to use when they get out. Another aspect of it is that it takes jobs away from the law abiding citizens who are not in prison. We have too much of that already because of the traitor corporations moving their jobs out of the country.
“The private contracting of prisoners for work fosters incentives to lock people up. Prisons depend on this income. Corporate stockholders who make money off prisoners’ work lobby for longer sentences, in order to expand their workforce. The system feeds itself,” says a study by the Progressive Labor Party, which accuses the prison industry of being “an imitation of Nazi Germany with respect to forced slave labor and concentration camps.” READ MORE
This 5G stuff will be exposing people everywhere to harmful radiation. I believe it is microwave radiation. If you live close to cell phone towers right now, you are risking getting various forms of cancer. 5G will be stronger. "Research on microwave frequency radiation conducted since 1996 shows that the existing 3G and 4G cellular systems are causing serious harm to human health. The 5G systems will increase the level of harm to the level where illness and death can no longer be denied. We now know that the development of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s and numerous other diseases and disabling symptoms are linked to the cumulative effects of microwave radiation. Cellular systems are pushing microwave radiation into our bodies and brains 24 hours a day regardless of whether we use a cell phone or even own one."
Risks from 5G include:
- Damage to the eyes – cataracts, retinal damage
- Severe sweating
- Skin damage
- Immune system disruption
- Metabolic disruption
- Neurological disturbance
- Leakage of blood brain barrier
- Damage to sperm
- Increased risk of cancers
- Collapse of insect populations, the base of food for birds and bats
- Rise in bacterial resistance and bacterial shifts
- Damage to plants and trees
Everyone, from leader to laborer, is a teacher delivering a simple lesson: how to be, or how not to be. We go to school on the words and behavior of others, and it falls to us as individuals to either absorb what those others teach us by being who they are, or to cast their lessons aside in search of more worthy instruction. As bad lawsuits make bad law, however, bad people make worse people by example. We are often childlike in our emulation of what we see, and if we only see scoundrels, well … that script writes itself.
Which brings us to a most valuable teacher: a privileged, compromised, cowardly, racist, sexist, hate-swaddled, power-mad, greed-gorged, double-dealing, fathomless void where all integrity goes to die. I speak, of course, of Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. If Donald Trump is the Devil waiting at that moonlit crossroads to tune our guitar at the cost of our souls, Mitch McConnell drove him there and paid for the gas. READ MORE

Sixteen-year-old climate action leader Greta Thunberg stood alongside European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker Thursday in Brussels as he indicated—after weeks of climate strikes around the world inspired by the Swedish teenager—that the European Union has heard the demands of young people and pledged more than $1 trillion over the next seven years to address the crisis of a rapidly heating planet.
In the financial period beginning in 2021, Juncker said, the EU will devote a quarter of its budget to solving the crisis.
"Every fourth euro spent within the EU budget will go towards action to mitigate climate change," Juncker said. The plan will amount to about €1 trillion (or $1.13 trillion) spent over seven years, according to Reuters. READ MORE

This Is How the Republican Party Plans to Destroy the Federal Government
This is what is happening to our government. The corrupt assholes that are running our government are trying to destroy it. They have been destroying this country since before Bill Clinton. They ripped the guts out of this country when they allowed businesses to move their manufacturing operations outside of the country and turn their backs on Americans. They have taken away control of the means of production from this country so that it is exclusively owned by the people at the very top and so the American people will have no power and control over anything. The 1% has all of the wealth and power and they mean to rule this country and the American people be damned. They have been doing it over time while trying to maintain an illusion of democracy to keep the American people from revolting. The people can still have the power to take this country away from these would be rulers, but they have to unite and force it away from them. They are destroying this country and taking it away from the people. Soon, they will take this economy down to a level where the people will become very desperate and willing to accept terms that are equivalent to enslavement. Our worst enemy resides in Washington DC. It really does not matter about Republican or Democrat... they are all treasonous pigs that work for the corporations and the banks. We may have voted for them but they do not represent us. 90%+ of the people in this country are not represented in congress or the white house. READ MORE

Bernie Sanders Has a Plan to Tax the Rich That’s About As Radical as What Teddy Roosevelt Proposed
When the senator proposes a 77 percent tax on the value of an estate above $1 billion, he’s talking about renewing American values. "The really big fortune, the swollen fortune, by the mere fact of its size, acquires qualities which differentiate it in kind as well as in degree from what is possessed by men of relatively small means. Therefore, I believe in a graduated income tax on big fortunes.”
That’s what Teddy Roosevelt proposed in his agenda-setting “New Nationalism” speech from 1910, when he prodded the United States toward a fuller embrace of progressive reform. As a former president who was preparing to again bid for the position, Roosevelt opened a conversation about tax policy in order to frame a broader debate about at least some of the values that should guide American progress." The conversation about 5G within the mainstream is becoming quite concerning for onlookers, as there's been an increase in awareness about the health concerns of wireless radiation. Sure, there are natural sources of electromagnetic radiation on both ends of the spectrum in our environment, but never before has humanity experienced this much. The main reason why this is so concerning is because: "Wireless radiation has biological effects. Period. This is no longer a subject for debate when you look at PubMed and the peer-review literature. These effects are seen in all life forms; plants, animals, insects, microbes. In humans, we have clear evidence of cancer now: there is no question We have evidence of DNA damage, cardiomyopathy, which is the precursor of congestive heart failure, neuropsychiatric effects." Los Angeles firefighters report neurological damage after cell tower installation near their station
There is one desperate chance left to thwart the impending ecocide and extinction of the human species. We must, in wave after wave, carry out nonviolent acts of civil disobedience to shut down the capitals of the major industrial countries, crippling commerce and transportation, until the ruling elites are forced to publicly state the truth about climate catastrophe, implement radical measures to halt carbon emissions by 2025 and empower an independent citizens committee to oversee the termination of our 150-year binge on fossil fuels. If we do not do this, we will face mass death.
The British-based group Extinction Rebellion has called for nonviolent acts of civil disobedience on April 15 in capitals around the world to reverse our “one-way track to extinction.” I do not know if this effort will succeed. But I do know it is the only mechanism left to force action by the ruling elites, who, although global warming has been well documented for at least three decades, have refused to carry out the measures needed to protect the planet and the human race. These elites, for this reason alone, are illegitimate. They must be replaced. READ MORE

Extinction Rebellion | Chris Hedges
Donald Trump, like much of the American public, is entranced by electronic images. He interprets reality through the distortions of digital media. His decisions, opinions, political positions, prejudices and sense of self are reflected back to him on screens. He views himself and the world around him as a vast television show with himself as the star. His primary concerns as president are his ratings, his popularity and his image. He is a creature—maybe the poster child—of the modern, post-literate culture, a culture that critics such as Marshall McLuhan, Daniel Boorstin, James W. Carey and Neil Postman warned us about.
It is not, as some have suggested, merely that Trump speaks at the level of a seventh-grader or that he harkens back to a preliterate oral culture. He embodies the incoherence of the modern digital age, filled with sudden shifts from subject to subject, a roller-coaster ride of emotional highs and lows punctuated with commercials. There is nonstop stimulation. Seldom does anything occupy our attention for more than a few seconds. Nothing has context. Images overwhelm words. We are perpetually confused, but always entertained. We barely remember what we saw or heard a few minutes earlier. This is by design of the elites who manipulate us. READ MORE
